After participating in hundreds of artisan markets in multiple states on the west coast, Phoebe & Jonathan wanted to create a space dedicated to shopping small. You'll find quality, unique, independently made goods at their Skagit Valley brick & mortar and the elSage online shop. Along with creating their own screen printed work in the back of the store, elSage carries over 200 other artists, makers, authors, and small businesses to offer a variety of indie made items ready to gift.

Phoebe and Jonathan have high standards for their own work and all of the businesses that elSage carries. The elSage shop carries only companies who are giving back to society in positive ways. Seeking out businesses who are aligned with the elSage values means that elSage is looking for small businesses and companies who believe in equality and social justice, companies and people looking to help solve the climate crisis, businesses who support reproductive freedom, and people who believe in equal rights for all. The elSage shop highlights makers and businesses owned by people traditionally underrepresented in the business community. Most of our curated section features businesses owned by women, members of the LGBT community, and/or people of color. When shopping at elSage you are supporting solid values without having to do the research yourself.

Valley Made Market
The elSage team also puts on Valley Made Market, a makers market in Mount Vernon, WA. Valley Made Market is a one Sunday a month event April - September and a weekend long Holiday Market event in November and December. Valley Made is a group of community-centered artisans with amazing talent and style.
A bright spot on Main Street, a super shoppable online store, and a makers market series called Valley Made Market shows off Phoebe & Jonathan's love for the indie made scene.
