About Niki McClure

Nikki McClure of Olympia, WA attended Evergreen State College. While there, she studied ants and drew them (as well as everything else in her environment: birds, trees, flies, nudibranchs). In 1996 she made her first paper cut for the book, Apple. She have been cutting ever since. Today, she splits her time between making a yearly calendar and making children’s books. In the summer she becomes a full-time berry picker when she's not watching birds, hanging out with moss, and swimming in the Salish Sea.
